Gluten-Free Restaurants
Eating at restaurants that serve gluten-free meals, is a pleasure that I definitely enjoy. Many of us new to this lifestyle are pleased to find that they actually can go to establishments and eat without getting sick or having an unpleasant reaction. After all dining out is an experience that should be enjoyed. It should be noted though that unless a establishment has a committed GF kitchen then there will frequently be some cross contamination. Because of this I waited to eat out at until I had significantly improved. Then later when I did start dining out any traces of gluten that I may have got in my food did not have any negative consequences for me. However, people with severely weakened immune systems may react to even minute traces. This may be enough to prevent healing of their gastrointestinal lining. Thus if you are in this predicament you are probably best not eating out. For those who are healthy enough to eat out the below listings are for your benefit.

While you may be able to find a rare establishment that offers a GF bun or bread. The vast majority of the time, if I am stuck at a burger joint and want some meat, then I will order a burger and have them hold the bun. Sometimes cheaper places will add fillers like wheat and soy to their burgers. So I always ask the waiter if the burger is 100% beef with no flour or soybeans. If you are not dairy sensitive, you can have a shake.
