Gluten-free Lunches
Eating a gluten-free lunch should be a enjoyable activity, not a difficult task. It just requires a bit more planning and/or preparation as opposed to a typical lunch. What I mean by this is that individuals who have no dietary limitations can eat anywhere and just about anything. However for those of us with food intolerances it is a bit more challenging. In fact, we typically have just three choices: choose restaurants that serve GF meals, becoming an expert on knowing what foods are safe, or prepare their meals in advance. Because of this, many people tend to freak out, but that is not necessary. They just need achieve to a certain level mastery on this subject. Then it will be a snap! But first we will start with the basics, making sure we have healthy delicious meals that are safe for us to eat. I created this Web page to address that need and for those of us who are new to this lifestyle. This list will continue to grow but I am starting with some options that will make it easy for you right away.
So without further delay here is the list of safe midday meals.
Chicken salad
Steak salad Chef’s salad Umeboshi plum/nori roll
Wraps with corn, teff, or brown rice
Soups Beans and rice Sandwich on gf bread Chili with beans GF crackers and cheese with veggies
As you see there are many choices and several of these have multiple variations. Providing a large number quick and delicious options. So please, I no longer want to hear that there is nothing to eat. That is simply not true. So let's get down to business and enjoy a wonderful meal.
